Verification Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Starter platform policy — not attorney-reviewed legal advice. Founders and operators should obtain their own counsel for binding agreements.

Accepted documents

Student Operators: student ID, enrollment verification, class schedule, or other school-issued documentation.

Emerging Operators: driver license, state-issued ID, or passport.

Veteran credential: DD-214, Veteran ID card, or VA identification.

What verification means

Verification confirms identity only — that the person presenting the profile matches the document submitted, and that the document type is plausible for the badge granted.

What verification does not mean

  • Verification does not guarantee skill level.
  • Verification does not guarantee performance on any engagement.
  • Verification does not guarantee employment or income.
  • Verification does not predict future outcomes.

Document handling

Uploaded documents live in a private storage bucket and are only accessible to authorized admins through short-lived signed URLs. Documents are never publicly displayed. Profiles publicly show badges only.

Revocation

Admins may revoke verification badges if a document is later found to be fraudulent, expired, or otherwise invalid.
